But now having had two ultrasounds already and I'll be 10 weeks on Wednesday it thankfully worked out alright. Next time I'll probably wait the full 12 weeks. The first pregnancy we told everyone at about 10 weeks (my dad let it slip to the family but we didnt mind), this time we told everyone at 6 weeks but then I started experiencing some bleeding so having told everyone made me really nervous. Looking back, I can tell you that this has gone much faster than I thought in some ways. There were times when it seemed like it would be forever until I got to 8 or 9 months, but especially once you get past 20 weeks or so… things really start to zip on by.

Such a wonderful miracle! Totally normal to have all the feelings you mentioned. Every week that goes by is a week closer to meeting him/her. And yes, crying when you do. I sobbed.
